What Generate makes#
Generate writes a structured artefact from the corpus rather than a conversational answer. Choose the shape, describe the topic, and the portal retrieves the relevant sources and writes from them:
- Briefing - an overview, structured sections and key takeaways. Every section carries numbered references, and a section nothing in the corpus supports is left out and listed as omitted rather than written from general knowledge.
- Comparison - items scored across dimensions, each cell naming the source it came from when one could be traced.
- Timeline, FAQ and Pros and cons - the same grounding, in those shapes.
- Assessment - the same knowledge check the Assessment page builds.
If the corpus holds too little on a topic, Generate says so instead of producing a plausible artefact with invented citations.
References and sources#
A briefing cites with numbered markers, for example [1], that map to the References list under it; each reference is a document in the Library, with its journal and year taken from the record rather than written by the model. The Grounded in row lists every source the artefact was retrieved from.
Saving and exporting#
Save to an investigation files the artefact with its sources. Export to Word downloads a Word-compatible document, references included, and confirms the file name once it has saved. Export to PDF opens a print-ready copy in a new tab and starts your browser's print dialog, from which you can save as PDF; if your browser blocks the new tab, allow pop-ups for the portal and try again.
